Google 3rd Party: how VenueViz works with your Google accounts

Last updated

Google calls a company that manages a business's Google Business Profile or Google Ads a third party, and it has policies for third parties. When VenueViz manages your Business Profile or runs your Google Ads, those policies apply to us. This page says how we follow them. It also links Google's own pages, so you can read the rules yourself.

VenueViz is an independent company. We are not Google, we do not work for Google, and Google does not endorse our services.

Google's notices for you

Google publishes a notice for businesses that work with a third party. Please read the one for each service we manage for you:

Google's policies for third parties:

Google Business Profile

A Google Business Profile is your venue's listing on Google Search and Google Maps.

A Google Business Profile is free from Google. Google does not charge for it. When VenueViz manages your profile, our fee is for our management service, not for the profile.

Your invoice will name Business Profile management, and say that the profile itself is free from Google.

  • You stay the owner of your profile. We work on it as a manager, never as an owner.
  • We tell you about every change we make to your profile. We do not change or turn off a profile feature without your consent.
  • We reply to reviews for you only with your approval in writing, such as an email. A spoken yes is not enough.
  • We do not discard an update that Google suggests for your profile without checking it with you first.
  • You can sign in to your profile at any time to see its performance data straight from Google.
  • No one can promise your venue a top place on Google Search or Google Maps, or that your profile will show at all times. We do not make that promise.
  • You can remove our access at any time. If you ask us to stop, we remove our access within 7 business days.

When we run Google Ads for you, we run them in your own Google Ads account. You pay Google directly for your ad spend. Our fee is separate from your ad spend.

  • Your Google Ads account is for your venue alone. We never share one account between businesses, and we never run your ads from an account we own.
  • Our fee is set out in writing before any work starts, and our invoice shows it.
  • You can sign in to your Google Ads account at any time to see its cost, clicks and impressions straight from Google.
  • Our monthly report reads spend and results from your own account. The cost it shows is the amount Google charged you, with no VenueViz fee in it.
  • Google bills your Google Ads spend in your own account, so the budget you set for Google Ads is spent on Google Ads and nowhere else.
  • If you ask for your Google Ads customer ID, we give it to you.
  • An auction on each search sets where an ad shows on Google, so no one can promise your ad a set position. We do not make that promise. Ads on Google also do not change where your venue ranks in Google's unpaid search results.

How we deal with you

  • We never ask for your Google password. You invite us to your profile or your ad account as a user, and you can remove us at any time.
  • We do not pressure you to sign up or to stay, and we never hold your profile or your ad account back to keep you as a client.
  • If you ask us to stop contacting you, we stop.
